Setting a domain's name server records

What are name server records?

Your name server records tell the world where to look for information on your domain name. Set these correctly for your domain name to work properly.

Name servers for Hosting Reborn hosting accounts

  • ns1.hostingreborn.com
  • ns2.hostingreborn.com
  • ns3.hostingreborn.com
  • ns4.hostingreborn.com

Using the Hosting Reborn name servers (most common)

Choose this option if none of this makes sense to you. Contact us if in doubt.

This option should definitely be chosen if you:

  • don't understand what DNS records are, or
  • have no option for managing your own DNS records, or
  • want both the web and email services to be run from Hosting Reborn

Your domain name provider should give you the option to specify your domain's name server records. Contact them if you are unsure of how to set your name server records.

Set your name server records to the above and your DNS records will be managed automatically by Hosting Reborn.

Managing your own DNS records (advanced)

Leave your domain's name server records as they are and manage your DNS records from your registrar-supplied control panel.

This may be of interest if you want to:

  • host only your web site with us and your email elsewhere, or
  • host only your email with us and your web site elsewhere, or
  • keep control of your DNS records for any reason

The IP address you need can be found from the relevant hosting account's management screen.
